CLEMENT DESIGN STUDIOS

What began as a simple covid lockdown hobby of teaching myself to repair old watches quickly evolved into a years-long project to design and build my own timepiece. I love a challenge and the pursuit of learning new skills so I chose to build my own machines, jigs and tools to make this ambitious undertaking a reality.

It's been a little over a year since I began doodling designs on scraps of paper and in that time I've designed and built two precision CNC milling machines capable of turning raw metal into limited edition works of horological art.

I'm beginning with a prototype series of 9 watches which pull design cues from a few of my favorite watch brands and combine them with some flourishes which come from my personal history and aesthetic. The brass movement ring is engraved with each watch edition number as well as the map coordinates for my shop in Brooklyn.

Once the first edition is completed I plan to move foward with new designs catering to individuals and professions which require beautiful, durable and timeless wristwatches.
